Wood furnisher and inner walls in your home might not be as safe as you think. It may look like it’s made entirely out of wood but that is not necessarily the whole picture. The glues that hold it all together may contain potentially harmful chemicals as formaldehyde and isocyanate.

Stora Enso hopes to address this issue with their new, fully bio-based, binding agent called NeoLigno®. By utilising ligning, previously a byproduct of the pulp industry and typically utilised as bioenergy in energy production, they hope this underutilized byproduct may become more useful.
